Work Crews Ahead

Work Crews AheadWake up with this cat hissing outside your window at 7am daily and you can only imagine the headache to follow.  And, when you look out any window from three of the four sides of my house, you one see work crews ahead.  I’m nearly surrounded by construction.  Then it dawned on me. Maybe “It’s a Sign, Stupid!”  Maybe it’s symbolic.  Maybe all those aggravating, non-stop noises of grinding, sawing, clanking and hammering are really a message  the Universe is sending me sonically.  Let me explain.

The picture perfect house that comes together so nicely on the outside is the result of hard work and construction that took place first on the inside.   So maybe it’s time to fix some leaks, repair some holes, tear down some walls and fill-in some cracks in the foundation. In other words; restore that home back to its original condition. Make it new again.  A Sunday stroll through my neighborhood provided some further insight.

A house has many rooms, symbolic of the many areas in our life.  The kitchen is often referred to as the heart of the house.  Do you need more love?  Do you need to give more love?  The bathroom is synonymous with cleanliness.  Do you need to wash away negative energy?  Are there bad habits you’ve fallen into that need a good riddance?  The living room is our family, friends and interactions with others.  Are there relationships that could use some repair and TLC? Maybe it’s time we do some handy work around the house. Lunas And, since I’m very big on signs and symbols, I also came across what would ordinarily seem like any old dumpster.  Except; notice the word “lunas” on this one.  In Spanish, the world “lunas” means moons.  It just so happens that last night’s full moon was the last full-moon of Winter.  The next full-moon will be during Spring — a time for rebirth and growth.  And, in the moon cycles, during the time between the Full Moon and the New Moon — energy decreases.  In this time, we typically want to release and let go of anything that no longer serves our needs or purpose.  In Astrology, your moon sign represents how you feel inside — your attitudes and emotions toward things.  Starting to all make sense?  And what would seem like an ordinary Work Crews Aheadphone number on the other side of this dumpster, was even more symbolic.  Add up these numbers and it equals 32.  Break 32 down with numerology and you come to the number 5.  The “5” in numerology is characterized as the Dynamic Force that is always in need of constant change.  The “5” doesn’t like predictability and repetition.  The “5” doesn’t settle — at least not until he or she finds the right mix or the right surrounding.

As I started to make way back to my house, I took notice of the homes in my neighborhood that were fully built and lived-in.

Notice the detail, the cleanliness and character.  Isn’t this the kind of house we all want to figuratively live in?  We can.  We just need to undergo some construction and work from the inside out.  I did reach out to the County to find out what times construction was allowed during the day.  Turns out 7am is being friendly.

That’s ok.  Construction, again figuratively, is a full day’s work and then some.  And one final note.  As I was also walking home, the song “Underneath” by Alanis Morissette started playing in my i-pod.  Listen to the lyrics of this song and tell me that isn’t some timely house music.
